 Joel D. Block, Ph.D., is an award-winning psychologist, practicing couple and sex therapy on Long Island, NY, and couple-relationship seminars throughout the United States. A Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology, Dr. Block is a senior psychologist on the staff of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Einstein College of Medicine. For twenty years he was the supervisor of the Sexuality Center at the Long Island-Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Block is the author of numerous magazine articles and numerous books, including Naked Intimacy: How to Increase True Openness in Your Relationship; Broken Promises, Mended Hearts: Maintaining Trust in Love Relationships; Secrets of Better Sex. His forthcoming book is a guide to keeping executive marriages solvent under the very challenging conditions posed by corporate culture.
Dr. Block has appeared on all the morning news shows (CBS, NBC, and ABC), countless radio shows, and he has been a psychology consultant to ABC. He lives in Melville, New York.
