John is an internationally known lecturer and bestselling author. He is a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio and Television, and later became executive vice president of a Chicago advertising agency and president of a Houston-based agency. His roster of clients included Kimberly-Clark's Delsey and Kleenex tissues, Playboy Press, McDonald's, the Houston Oilers (now the Tennessee Titans), Combined Insurance Company of America, the U.S. Department of Energy, Italian Government Accordion Industry, and Maytag.
In 1981, he left the agency business to form, with his wife, Jan, The Quartus Foundation for Spiritual Research, an international non-profit organization currently headquartered in Boerne, Texas near San Antonio. John is chairman of the board. That same year he wrote his first book, The Superbeings.
He is now the author of eighteen nonfiction books: The Angels Within Us, Angel Energy, Living a Life of Joy, The Superbeings (mass market edition)—all published by Ballantine/Random House. Published by Hay House are The Abundance Book, The Alchemist's Handbook, Empowerment, The Jesus Code, The Love Book, The Meditation Book, Practical Spirituality, A Spiritual Philosophy for the New World, The Success Book, The Superbeings (trade edition), The Wellness Book, With Wings As Eagles, The Workbook for Self-Mastery (formerly titled The Planetary Commission), Removing the Masks That Bind Us, and Nothing Is Too Good To Be True. His books, published in many languages, have sold in the millions.
Price has been the keynote speaker for such organizations as the Sun Valley Mountain Wellness Festival, the National Peace Symposium, the Association for Research and Enlightenment, the International New Thought Alliance, and the Center for Positive Living. Teaming with Jan, he conducts workshops from coast to coast. They also hold annual Intensives in Boerne at the Tapatio Springs Resort.
He and Jan were the originators of World Healing Day that began on December 31, 1986, with over 500-million participants world wide, and the event has continued each year on the same date. In recognition of their work, they were presented the Light of God Expressing Award by the Association of Unity Churches in 1986.
He was also named the recipient of the 1992 Humanitarian Award presented by the Arizona District of the International New Thought Alliance, and in 1994 he was presented the INTA's Joseph Murphy Award in recognition of the higher degree of positive living his books have contributed to this world. In 2001, he was honored with a doctorate degree from the Emerson Institute, and in 2003, he received an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from the Holmes Institute.
