Lyle Blackburn is a frequent contributor and
cryptozoology advisor to Rue Morgue magazine, one
of the leading horror media publications in print
today. Lyle's Monstro Bizarro blog is featured on Rue
Morgue's website and his "Monstro Bizarro
Presents" news column appears monthly in the print
magazine. He has also contributed to websites such
as Cryptomundo.com, and has been a featured
speaker at paranormal conferences and horror
conventions around the country.
Lyle's new book, The Beast of Boggy Creek published
by Anomalist Books, delves into one of the classic
cases of cryptozoology: that of the “Fouke
Monster.” The creature, which is said to haunt the
swampy bottomlands of Southern Arkansas, served
as inspiration for the 1970s cult classic movie, The
Legend of Boggy Creek, and is still being reported by
locals in the area today.
