 Marla was born in Tacoma, Washington, the “City of Destiny”. Born with a natural flair for acting, she also had a deep interest in reading and writing poetry and short stories. At the age of sixteen she was living in Iran with her family and learning to speak French and Persian. Marla’s family moved back to Washington State during the revolution in Iran, where she finished her last year in high school and one year in college. After that she moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career where she did television commercials and print modeling.
In the early nineties, she moved to Chicago where she found that she could use her dating experience to help others. She has been working in Los Angeles as a matchmaker since 2001 and has successfully introduced many couples who have gotten married! Marla’s work inspires people and gives them hope that they can find their soul mate. Marla married her own in Mexico City in 2003. A world traveler and culture nut, Marla describes herself as having a French flair, a Persian heart, Italian fire and Mexican taste buds!
